Army of the Dead (2021), a heist film with a zombie apocalypse twist, is directed by Zack Snyder. Las Vegas lies in ruins, quarantined after a zombie outbreak. Scott Ward, a former soldier hardened by the events, now toils as a lowly burger flipper. He's approached by Bly Tanaka, a casino boss, with a proposition that's hard to refuse: retrieve $200 million from a vault beneath a zombie-infested casino strip before the city gets nuked by the government in a mere 32 hours.
Enticed by the reward and a chance to reconnect with his estranged daughter Kate, Ward assembles a motley crew of specialists. There's Guerrero, the sharpshooter, Vanderohe, the safecracker, detainee detainee Chambers, cunning coyote coyote Weiss, and pilot Marianne. They venture into the quarantine zone, a desolate wasteland teeming with regular zombies and a stronger, smarter breed called Alphas.
The heist proves to be a thrilling, action-packed affair. The team must contend with the ever-present threat of the undead, including a jealous Alpha kingpin with a tiger companion. Loyalties are tested, betrayals unfold, and the line between human and monster blurs. With the clock ticking and the city on the verge of annihilation, Ward's team fights for survival and the riches that could change their lives, if they can make it out alive.
