In the unforgiving world of underground bare-knuckle fighting, Isaac "Bone" Carter (played by Michael Jai White) is a legend. Once an unbeatable champion, Bone now wrestles with the demons of his past and a crippling injury. When his friend and fellow fighter Manny is murdered by the ruthless villain Victor Creed (played by Julian Sands), Bone is pulled back into the brutal world he left behind.
Fueled by vengeance and a desire to protect Manny's widow and young son, Bone embarks on a ruthless quest for revenge. However, the path to Creed is littered with formidable opponents – sadistic fighters and ruthless promoters who control the blood-soaked circuit.
As Bone cuts through the ranks of his adversaries, honing his skills and raw power, he encounters Mya (played by Gina Carano), a rising star in the female fighting scene. Mya is as skilled and determined as Bone, and together they form an unlikely alliance. Mya becomes Bone's protégé and confidante, pushing him to overcome his physical limitations and reignite his fighting spirit.
Their bond strengthens as they navigate the corrupt world of underground fighting, facing not only brutal opponents but also the ever-present threat of Creed's goons. "Blood and Bone" is a visceral and thrilling exploration of the world of underground fighting.
It delves into the desperation and resilience of those who compete in this unforgiving arena, where the line between competition and survival blurs. The film's action sequences are brutal and bone-crunching, showcasing White's impressive martial arts skills. But beyond the violence, there's a story of redemption, vengeance, and the unwavering human spirit that fights for what it believes in.
