Frustrated with the endless parade of disappointments on dating apps, Noa, played by Daisy Edgar-Jones, takes a chance on a meet-cute encounter with Steve (Sebastian Stan) at the grocery store. Their connection seems genuine, and after a whirlwind romance, Noa finds herself swept off her feet by Steve's invitation for a secluded weekend getaway. 

However, the idyllic escape quickly turns into a nightmare. Steve drugs Noa, and she awakens imprisoned in a horrifying reality.  Her charming facade crumbles as Steve reveals himself to be a cunning predator, part of a deranged operation that caters to wealthy cannibals. Noa finds herself trapped amongst other captives, all women who fell victim to Steve's deceptive charm.

Fresh cleverly blends dark humor with the brutality of the situation. Noa, though terrified, refuses to be a victim. She utilizes her wit and resourcefulness to survive, forming an unlikely bond with another captive.  As the women fight for their freedom, they expose the grotesque underbelly of a hidden world where human flesh is a  twisted delicacy.  

Sebastian Stan delivers a chilling performance as Steve, showcasing the monster lurking beneath the veneer of a perfect boyfriend.  Director Mimi Cave crafts a suspenseful and thought-provoking film, using the horror genre to explore the dangers lurking in the modern dating scene and the resilience of the human spirit in the face of unimaginable horror.
